Parra's Mexican Restaurant

  • excellent food, friendly service
  • They always have good food and we are looking forward to seeing them in their new location.
  • I Love wet burritos
  • Parra's very nice and comfortable. My husband and I love Mexican food and the best place we have found close to here is in Cameron Park. We were looking forward to eating at Parra's. Very disappointed. Rice had no spices and too much onion. Beans tasted burnt. My beef enchilida was a disaster, never saw orange sauce on an enchilida, no flavor. The shredded beef was tender but again no spices. Maybe try salsa from Costco, Sonoma Salsa, a smoky salsa made with fire roasted tomatoes. Please try some different recipes, like Las Primas in Cameron Park. Thank you, D Renstrom
  • My wife and I found the service very courteous and the food outstanding! After moving from Phoenix, Arizona where Mexican food is done to perfection, we were very happy to find Parra's so good, especially after being so dissappointed at other Mexican restaurants in Placerville, Shingle Springs, and Folsom. Everything from the warm tortilla chips to their signature Pale Ale was again, oustanding! You will find us there often!
  • I had really high hopes upon entering the nicely decorated dining room. The aroma coming from the kitchen was quite enticing! I ordered as old favorite of mine, a carne asada burrito, knowing that full well that burritos aren't really considered indigenous to Mexico and instead are a border town creation that has gained notoriety through its many combinations and ease of handling. My burrito arrived and was a disaster! It had steamed meat of some sort instead of grilled flank skirt (carne asada) and was floating in refried beans! I was expecting whole Pintos. I opted to go forward in hopes that the messy refried variety might not be so bad, but, they were virtually tasteless and lacking in flavor. Thankfully, the size of the tortilla was rather small for a burrito of this price and I didn't mind leaving it for the bus boy. I thought the salsa was tasty, though, but doubt I'll return.
  • I thought it was pretty good, and I am a pretty hard critique of mexican restaurants! I had a wet burrito, and It was excellent. The chips and salsa (a big deal to me) were pretty good. As far as mexican restaurants go, it was about a 7.
