Kindergarten Registration and School Readiness Faire Parent Meetings

Kindergarten registration packets are now available at all elementary school offices for the Black Oak Mine Unified School District. If your child will be entering Kindergarten in August of 2008, stop by the school office and pick up a registration packet. At the same time you will also sign up for your Kindergarten Round-up appointment. Children must be 5 years old by December 2nd 2008 to enter Kindergarten in August. For more information call any of the school offices: Georgetown School (for both Georgetown and Otter Creek School) 333- 8320, Creekside School 333-8340, or Northside School 885-4079.
All parents of Kindergarten students entering school the 2007-2008 school year are also invited to attend a School Readiness Faire. Choose to come on Thursday, March 6 from 7 to 8 PM at Debi’s Country Play Center in Georgetown or on Thursday, March 13 from 7 to 8 PM at Cool Care in Cool.
Entering Kindergarten parents and Kindergarten teachers will come together in preparing children for school. The evening will consist of a teacher panel presentation and an opportunity for questions and answers from parents. A variety of information about school readiness and the transition to Kindergarten will be available. Please feel free to come the Readiness Faire at either location. These events are sponsored by the Black Oak Mine Unified School District, First 5 El Dorado, Divide Ready by 5 and the Early Care Providers of the Divide.
